My story and journey

Hello! This is my first blog in which I’d like to share my story on how we got to this platform. As humans we seek connection with friends and family, with colleagues and partners. It all comes down to the essence of what we need as humans: that we matter, and wanting love, attention and acknowledgement. I held a senior partner role at one of the largest professional consulting firms in the world, and after a few decades of an incredible career, I started to loose that twinkle of excitement and feeling of belonging in my daily activities. Risk to a bore-out even! So time to reset. With an external firm I’m doing a ‘careers that matter’ program that started with writing a self analysis with the objective to get to “having fun with a purpose“. The purpose is becoming clearer. I want to actively mentor start-ups with my experience. With a focus on sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusiveness. And at the same time connecting with individuals and creators (small businesses selling goods and/or services)that want to belong to a community with similar values. I initially thought (inspired by William H. Johnsen ): “if it is to be, it is up to me“. But then, it’s not only up to me, it is up to us: “if it is to be, it is up to us“. And so the idea of “be us” was born! I see myself as an innovative pioneer, having an entrepreneurial spirit, and as an impact-driven leader. I am a trailblazer on a mission to create meaningful impact and embrace new challenges! My journey so far is a testament to my passion for exploration and innovation.
